Free State Texas

    Wayne C. Grantham

Texas has been known for its rough, rugged individualists, ready to take on any challenge. Leaders of the Texas Republic made the error of signing on with the United States of America, which drained it of resources to feed wasteful U.S. plans for more than 200 years when the people of Texas decided they’d had enough. In the 2030s the Republic of Texas reasserted itself as a sovereign nation, taking a willing Oklahoma along with it.The very libertarian nation was plagued by mobs, and by an influx of foreigners. The liberty-loving people of the Republic of Texas fought them with freedom, within a framework of sensible law. When a new, unexpected threat was unleashed upon the politically unsophisticated Texas, the new nation faced its most dangerous trial.
